It takes a special kind of person to be a Registrant because there’s a lot more to it than just collecting facts, figures, names and dates and then putting them into files. A Registrar must be naturally inquisitive, and has to be able to reason things out based on having less than 100% of the information, and yet leave room for doubt because things aren’t always as they seem. A Registrar has to think analytically, have a sense of proportion, a sense of fairness and healthy dose of skepticism. A Registrar also has to be a goal directed self-starter who can work without supervision. Not many people have these qualifications, but that’s ok because we don’t need too many Registrars. One per car type is enough.
